David RobinsonThe Sweet Unity Story

David Robinson was born in 1952 as the youngest child of legendary Jackie Robinson and his wife Rachel. Growing up during the African-American Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, and in the Robinson home where such issues were at the core of everyday life, David Robinson has spent the last 40 years involved in the development of racial and human opportunity.

Since 1983, David has been involved in the economic development of Africa through sustainable agriculture. David is the founder and managing director of Higher Ground Development, an organization that works directly with coffee cooperatives. In 1998, David also founded Up-Country International Products Inc., the sole distributor and marketer of Sweet Unity Farms Coffee.

The driving desire behind Sweet Unity Farms is to turn the international coffee industry into a vehicle that improves the lives of the coffee farming families who nurture the land, till the soil and harvest the crops. This is the story of Sweet Unity.
